THUNDER BAY – Following the results of a post-mortem examination and consultation with next of kin, the Thunder Bay Police Service is identifying the victim of the Friday, March 29 homicide as being Robenson SAINT-JEAN, 21, of Ottawa.

Police were originally dispatched to the area Hilldale and Melbourne Roads just after 12:45 p.m. on Friday, March 29, for reports of an injured male.

Paramedics transported the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he later died from his injuries.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 30, police arrested Jeffrey D R MILLER, 41, of Thunder Bay. MILLER appeared in court that morning and was formally charged with second-degree murder.

The post-mortem examination of the victim took place in Thunder Bay and concluded Monday afternoon.

SAINT-JEAN was known to Thunder Bay Police. In August 2017 he was arrested as part of a drug raid on Wilson Street. As that time TBPS said a “joint effort of the TBPS Drug Unit with the Guns & Gang Unit along with the Community Response team successfully executed a search warrant during the afternoon on August 2, 2017, on an apartment located in located in the 200 block of Wilson Street and a vehicle associated to the residence. Officers were acting on information they have gathered over a five-month-long investigation”.

In 2014, according to CFC INSIDER Myers Riders standout aspires for the NCAA dream. Ottawa defensive back Robenson Saint Jean has some recruitment goals he would like to achieve. On a Facebook profile for SAINT JEAN which has not been updated since 2014, it is loaded with football images.

It is hard to understand how an athlete with promise and potential ends up involved in the kinds of activities that led to this end.
