SPEECH READ BY JUDY DECCICO:
When I first walked into his office 5 years ago to discuss potential spay/neuter services and general animal welfare for northern remote communities I must confess I was not optimistic that I would be received with any enthusiasm or support.
This man I had known for almost 40 years as a rough tough no-nonsense businessman began talking about his newest family member (who at that time was occupying the most comfortable chair in the room) with such love and affection I was totally taken by surprise.
He openly admitted he had never been a dog or cat person until a ball of Shitzu fluff called Tia came into and changed his life.
I have yet to hear the word “no” come from Mr. Frank Kelner in response to any request made to assist northern dogs whether it’s burlap or food going north or dogs transferring out, Northstar Air is always there for us and the animals.
Frank would you please come up and accept this small token of our gratitude and thanks for all your support and commitment to the health and safety of northern dogs.
I would be totally remiss if I did not acknowledge Tia and we have a special thank you for you for introducing Frank to all your friends and distant cousins in the north and convincing him that his help is important in ensuring that their lives are as safe and healthy as hers is.
