THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Over the weekend, the Superior East OPP were kept busy with several domestic disputes.
From the case files of the Ontario Provincial Police here are the reports of the incidents:
(WAWA, ON) – On March 1, 2019, members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a domestic dispute that had occurred on February 27, 2019, in Wawa, Ontario.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old male from Wawa, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 8, 2019, in Wawa, Ontario.
(DUBREUILVILLE, ON) – On March 2, 2019, members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a domestic dispute that had occurred on March 1, 2019, in Dubreuilville, Ontario.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old female from Dubreuilville, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following:
- Assault – Spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 8, 2019, in Wawa, Ontario.
(WHITE RIVER, ON) – On March 2, 2019, at approximately 8:23 p.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 call at a residence in White River, Ontario.
The investigation revealed that there had been a domestic dispute between a male and a female. As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old female from White River, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Assault – Spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC),
- Obstruct Peace Officer (two counts), contrary to section 129(a) of the CC,
- Assault a Peace Officer (two counts), contrary to section 270(1)(a) of the CC.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 8, 2019, in Wawa, Ontario.
The OPP will not be releasing any names of accused parties in order to protect the identity of the victims.
