WINNIPEG – WEATHER – Southern Manitoba including the City of Winnipeg to the Ontario boundary is under a blowing snow advisory. Environment Canada says winds up to 70 km/h will develop overnight. This is due to a cold front which is coming in from the north.
The weather service reports that while visibility won’t be affected greatly inside built-up areas, poor to at times near-zero visibility can be expected in the open countryside overnight through much of the day Sunday. Conditions will improve late Sunday as winds diminish.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
The Far North in the Keystone Province is under Extreme Cold Warnings with wind chill values expected to hit -46c.
