Watermain Break Impacting Thunder Bay Water Supply

509

THUNDER BAY – A break in the trunk watermain in Marina Park has affected water delivery through Thunder Bay’s water distribution system. The affected water line will be isolated for repairs. Water will be redirected in the system and may result in discoloured water in some areas.

As a result, effective immediately, a ban has been placed on outdoor water use and will be enforced for Thunder Bay residents. Residents are also being asked to limit all non-essential water use until repairs can be made to the system. This is necessary for fire protection and for equitable sharing of water for necessary household use.

ADVICE TO RESIDENTS:
If you have concerns regarding changes to:
water pressure;
clarity of your water; or
taste or colour;
breaking news
contact the Water Trouble Line at 684-2195 from 8 am until midnight today and 684-3117 after hours or over the weekend.
