DULUTH – WEATHER – The National Weather Service in Duluth is reporting that a strong winter storm will affect the Northland in Minnesota from Saturday night into Sunday.
“Most of the area will feel the effects from the storm although the highest snowfall is expected over parts of northwest Wisconsin into the Arrowhead. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for those areas for Saturday night into Sunday,” according to the NWS.
Light snowfall will occur over far western portions of the Northland with a few inches possible over eastern Minnesota. Heavy snowfall with amounts of 6 inches or more are possible in the Winter Storm Watch area.
Some parts of northwest Wisconsin may receive a foot! Keep up with the forecast for updates and any potential changes.
Travel could become very difficult, especially over northwest Wisconsin.
Strong winds will develop through the day Sunday with gusts of 30 mph to around 45 mph possible. Some even higher gusts will occur close to Lake Superior.
