Rainy River OPP Arrest Dryden Woman After Highway Stop

FORT FRANCES – On Monday, January 28, 2019, at 11:15 am, members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, (OPP), with the assistance of the Community Street Crime Unit conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act infraction in the Town of Fort Frances.

As a result, a 29-year-old female from Dryden Ontario was arrested at the scene and transported to the Fort Frances Detachment. Katlynd CRONLEY-POLKINGHORNE faces several charges under The Highway Traffic Act, one charge under The Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, she was also charged with….

-Personation with Intent contrary to section 403(1)(d) Criminal Code

-Two counts of Failing to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) Criminal code.

-Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to section 355(b) Criminal Code

-Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and is bound to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on February 19, 2019, in answer to the charges.
