Sioux Lookout – Traffic Stop Results in Trafficking Charges for Two

SIOUX LOOKOUT – The battle by police across the region against illegal drugs continues. In Sioux Lookout, a routine traffic stop led to charges for trafficking for a pair of Sioux Lookout residents.

On January 26, 2019 members of the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 72.

As a result of the traffic stop, Eric Lindstrom (47 years old) of Sioux Lookout is charged with:

  • Possession of a substance for the purposes of trafficking 5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of proceeds obtained by crime 354(1)(a) CC
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose 88 CC

And Leanna Dodsworth (30 years old) of Sioux Lookout is charged with:

  • Possession of a substance for the purposes of trafficking 5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of proceeds obtained by crime 354(1)(a) CC
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose 88 CC

Eric was remanded in custody to answer to his charge via WASH court. Leanna was released on a promise to appear with the return date of March 19, 2019.
