Right now in Thunder Bay, freezing rain is happening. Streets are getting sloppy and driving conditions are deteriorating.

  • City of Thunder Bay

Several hours of freezing rain possible this afternoon.

A band of freezing rain mixed with snow and ice pellets is expected to move eastwards ahead of a warm front and just north of the Minnesota state border today.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
