Man in Custody following Residential Break and Enter
Dryden Police Service has 33-year-old Bernard Able RAE, of Sandy Lake Ontario in custody following a residential break and enter that occurred yesterday. On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at approximately 4:30 pm, The Dryden Police Service received a call from the complainant of a break and enter to their Highway 17 home, located near Thunder Lake Road.
When the owners arrived home they found someone had entered the home by smashing a window and removing numerous items.
Dryden Police Service Officers conducted crime scene examination and an extensive search of the Highway 17 corridor where RAE was arrested at approximately 7:32 pm last night.
RAE is currently in custody and is facing charges of Break and Enter to a Dwelling, Possession of Stolen Property and four counts of failing to comply with court orders originating out of the Thunder Bay.
FRAUD ALERT
On October 31, 2018, Dryden Police received a call from a victim who reported that they were defrauded of a sum of money after being told by a “Microsoft” technician that their computer had a computer virus. The victim paid a fee to have the virus removed to later find out it was a fraud. If you receive a call, email or text that your computer has a virus DO NOT call the number listed, do not provide any personal information over the phone. It is a scam. It is unlikely your computer is affected in any way. If you are concerned, take your computer to a local technician for servicing.
Dryden Police urge the public to contact police should they have any information pertaining to any unsolved crime.
