OPP Charge ATV Driver after Collision on Lily Lake Road

OPP have laid a number of charges in a stolen vehicle investigation

THUNDER BAY – On September 21, 2018, at approximately 5:13 p.m., an officer from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) collision that occurred on Lily Lake Road, off of Highway 11.

The driver and a passenger were riding on an ATV, when the driver lost control of the ATV, drove into a ditch causing the ATV to rollover onto its side.

The driver was not injured, but the passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by air ambulance.

The driver was charged with Drive Non-Passenger ATV with a Passenger contrary to Regulation 316, section 19.2(a) of the Highway Traffic Act.
