KENORA – POLITICS – Bob Nault, the Member of Parliament (Kenora riding) released the following statement regarding his role as Chair of Canada’s Foreign Affairs Committee:

“Having served as Chair of Canada’s Foreign Affairs Committee since 2015, I have decided to step down. Recently, I was elected as President of ParlAmerica’s International, which is an Intra-Parliamentary association composed of 35 national legislatures in North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.  I felt that now was the right time to have someone to take on the responsibilities as Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

“The scope and reach of ParlAmericas’ work is both wide and far-reaching, and I look forward to being able to dedicate additional time in my new role as president of ParlAmericas.

“Most importantly, this decision will allow me to dedicate even more of my time advocating for Northerners.”
