THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Charges against Michael Danial Bewcyk have been updated to include kidnapping and breaching his probation.
Detectives with the Thunder Bay Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing to investigate the incident that occurred last weekend that resulted in 70-year-old Michael Danial Bewcyk being charged for breaching a prohibition order.
Bewcyck has been in custody since his arrest and additional charges have been laid in conjunction with this investigation.
The new charges are:
· Abduction of a Person Under 14 Years – Section 281 CC
· Breach of Prohibition Order – Section 161 (4) CC
He appeared in court this afternoon and remains in custody.
