Police and Coroner’s Office Investigate South-Side Death

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are investigating the discovery of a body at Kam River Park on the south side of the city. In a media release police say, “Emergency services responded to an unconscious male being located at the Kamview Overlook Park just before 11:00 am on Sunday, May 27, 2018.

A citizen walking in the area located the 40-year-old male by the benches in the park and called 911. Paramedics began CPR and rushed him to the hospital by ambulance with a police escort. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital. His identity has been confirmed and the next of kin have been notified.

This investigation being continued by the Coroner’s office with a post-mortem being conducted. The TBPS Criminal Investigation Branch will continue to assist the Coroner as required.
