THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a weapons call at the Ramada – Landmark Inn on Dawson Road at approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 24, 2018, after a 911 call was placed by hotel staff.

The 40-year-old male employee refused entrance to a 25-year-old male who entered the lobby as he was not a guest of the hotel. The male returned a second time and again was refused entry. This time the male pulled out a knife and pointed it at the employee in a threatening manner and made his way into the hotel. Police were called and arrived within minutes.

The 25-year-old male was located at the rear of the hotel and was arrested for Assault with a Weapon. He was escorted to the Balmoral police station and will appear in court Friday.
