Red River Road Macs Robbed

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service uniformed patrol officers attended a Blucher Street address to assist a male who had been injured in a robbery around 12:30 am on May 23, 2018.

A male entered the Macs Convenience Store on Red River Road just after midnight and used a weapon to demand money from the 23-year-old male employee. The employee was then led out of the store to the Picton Street area. The employee was threatened and injured during an altercation with the male before he was able to run away and receive assistance from a citizen who provided first aid and called the police. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical attention and has been released.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous male in his early 20’s. He has a thin build with short dark hair. He was wearing a red Air Jordan baseball cap on backward and a black Toronto Raptures basketball jersey with the # 4 and “Bosh” on the back of the shirt. He was also wearing red footwear and ripped jeans.
