Thunder Bay – DAY STARTER – Good Morning Northwestern Ontario. It is Tuesday, April 17th. However to look outside you might think it is February 67th, and winter is on the way. Environment Canada says that the Winter Storm Warning is still in effect. At 03:30 am there is light snow in Thunder Bay, and the weather service says that snow should start tapering off.

Today’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with thirty percent chance of flurries. Winds will be north 20 km/h gusting to 40. Tuesday’s high is forecast for plus 3. Probably a pretty good idea to double check the windshield washer fluid. The UV index will be 4 or moderate.

For Dryden, expect a mix of sun and cloud with winds becoming northeast 20 km/h gusting to 40 in the morning. The high will be plus 5. The UV index is targeted for 5 or moderate.

The price of a litre of gas is actually more expensive today in Dryden than Thunder Bay. Fuel prices across the region range from $1.349 in Dryden, to $1.24.4 at the Husky on Chipman Street in Kenora,  In Thunder Bay, the lowest price in the city is $1343 at the Esso on Red River Road.  Out on the Fort William First Nation, gas prices are at $1.187 at THP.
