South Side Convenience Store Robberies
THUNDER BAY – CRIME – The Thunder Bay Police Service are currently investigating two south-side convenience store robberies that occurred on the evening of Thursday, March 22, 2018.
First, uniformed officers attended Alley’s Variety located on Franklin Street at 8:40 pm responding to a robbery that had just occurred. The 21-year-old female employee reported that a male with his face covered entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect then left on foot. The employee was not injured.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male approximately 5’7″ tall with a thick build. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a black Air Jordan hoodie.
Second, Officers attended Mac’s Convenience Store located on Waterloo Street at approximately 11:30 pm to take a report of a robbery.
The 41-year-old male employee stated that a male entered the store with his face covered and asked for money and cigarettes before leaving on foot. The employee was not injured.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male approximately 35 to 40 years of age. He is 5’8″ tall with a thick build. He was wearing grey sweatpants, a grey hoodie with the word “JEEP” on the front.
