Woman Assaulted During Robbery Attempt at Tim Hortons

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – On March 14, 201 8 at 1:00 am Thunder Bay Police Service uniformed officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Tim Horton’s located in the 300 block of Memorial Ave for a weapons call for service.

Officers arrived to find a 40-year-old female who required medical attention after a male approached her vehicle and opened the driver’s door trying to take her purse. During the struggle, she was stabbed. The female passenger in her car got out and confronted the male and grabbed the purse.

After a short altercation, the male suspect ran away southbound on Memorial Ave. The female victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The suspect in this incident is described as an Indigenous male with a pale complexion who approximately 20 years of age. He is 5’8″ tall with a skinny build and was wearing dark pants and a light shirt with a black toque.
