TORONTO – The Toronto Jr. Canadiens broke open a scoreless game with three early second period tallies to help them go on to a convincing 8-0 victory over the Thunder Bay minor midget Kings Wednesday evening at the OHL Cup in Toronto.

Neither side would connect in the first frame, but the Jr. Canadiens blew it open it in the second with a four-goal barrage.

They then tacked on four more in the third to finish off the romp.

Zayde Wisdom had a hat trick and an assist to pace Toronto while Frankie Carogioiello chipped in with a pair of markers and set-up two others.

The 2-0 Jr. Canadiens outshot Thunder Bay 32-25 with Christopher Adolphe posting the shutout and Stephan Bourgeois suffering the loss.

Next up for the 0-2 Kings will be a 1:45 p.m. match-up vs. the Don Mills Flyers Thursday.
