NAKINA – Shoppers in Nakina will soon face longer travel times to get groceries. On March 31st, 2018 the North West Company will close the Northern Store in their community.

“This location is no longer sustainable and as a result we made the difficult decision to close our Northern Nakina store. We appreciate the hard work and dedication our employees have demonstrated in serving this market,” stated Michael Beaulieu, Vice President, The North West Company.

“On behalf of The North West Company, we would like to thank our customers for their support over the years,” added Beaulieu.

The North West Company operates stores across many communities in Northern Canada.
