Stubbs; Halushak named to U-16 side; Fortin earns U-18 nod
BLAINE, Minn. – The North American Prospects Hockey League announced Saturday its respective rosters for its upcoming under-16 and U-18 All-Star Games, which go Saturday, January 27 in Blaine, Minn.
Among those named to the U-16 contest is forward Michael Stubbs and defenceman Matthew Haluczak of the Thunder Bay minor midget Kings while major midget Kings blueliner Zach Fortin was selected to take part in the U-18 game.
Stubbs tops the minor midgets in NAPHL scoring with 18 points, including 11 goals, in 13 games while Haluczak bolsters the Kings’ defensive corps and also has one assist to his credit in league play.
As for Fortin, he has had a solid NAPHL campaign to date on both ends of the ice for Thunder Bay.
He boasts seven points in his first 11 NAPHL outings on three tallies and has helped set-up four more.
The NAPHL All-Star Games goes Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. ET at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine followed by the U-18 affair at 9 p.m. ET.
