SAULT STE MARIE – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued snow squall warnings for the Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joesph Island district. The weather could impact highway travel on the Trans-Canada Highway.
Snow squall warning in effect for:

Lake effect snow squalls from Lake Superior continue today.
The snow squalls may be intermittent with bursts of heavy snow separated by times of lighter snow. Additional local snowfall amounts of up to 10 cm are possible today.
Gusty northwest winds to 60 km/h will likely give blowing snow reducing visibilities significantly.
Conditions are expected to slowly improve this afternoon.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
