KENORA – WEATHER – Weather System coming from Wyoming is expected to impact the Northwestern Ontario region starting on Monday. The system has Environment Canada issuing a Winter Storm Watch for several parts of the region.

Winter storm watch in effect for:

  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson

Significant snowfall likely Monday into Tuesday morning. Blowing snow Monday night into Tuesday.

Snow is expected to develop overnight and will likely become heavy on Monday. Blowing snow will develop late Monday.

The snow is expected to become lighter Tuesday morning however blowing snow may continue most of Tuesday.

Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are likely. The Red Lake area will be near the northwestern edge of the storm.
