Toronto, ON – The Lakehead men’s basketball team (0-10) lost 98-52 to the Ryerson Rams (8-2) at the Mattamy Athletic Centre tonight in Toronto.
The Rams came out strong with a quick lead over the Wolves in the first quarter (21-12). Ryerson continued to open the gap in the second, holding the Wolves to only 11 points.
The Thunderwolves trailed 54-23 after the first half and although Lakehead pick up their play in the third quarter, Ryerson continued to push their lead until the final buzzer.
“Ryerson came out with more aggression then we did for the entire game and it showed in all stat categories. Tough way to end the first semester. Mor Menashe said it best after the game: ‘We have some time to do some reflection and make corrections for the 2nd half of the season'” – Coach Manny Furtado
Mor Menashe had 13 points tonight along with Nick Burke and Quincy Johnson both putting up 10 points each.
This wraps up 2017 regular season play for the Wolves as they will be back January 5th, 2018 in the Thunderdome against Guelph.
