Dryden – At approximately 8:45 p.m., November 15, 2017, the Dryden Police Service responded to a Break and Enter on Thiel Road. The victim who was in the home at the time reported that a male, dressed in black kicked in the front door of the house then fled on foot. No further description was provided. No one was hurt during this incident and nothing was taken. Please call the Dryden Police Service at 807-223-3281 if you observed anyone suspicious in the vicinity of Thiel Road during the evening of November 15, 2017. REF # DR17005708
Male jumped on Queen Street
Dryden Police responded to an assault on Queen Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. on November 15, 2017. The victim was approached by two males who demanded that the victim empty his pockets. When the victim refused, both suspects began to assault the victim and they then fled the scene on foot. The two suspects have not been identified. One male was wearing a blue hoodie and a tan jacket. The other suspect was wearing a parka with grey hoodie. The victim sustained minor injuries. No weapons were involved in this incident. The Dryden Police are asking the public’s assistance to come forward if you have any information regarding this crime. REF # DR17005709
Lock it or Lose it
The Dryden Police Service, the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and the Insurance Bureau of Canada are partnering for the annual Lock It or Lose It Champaign. It’s a very busy time of year with people out and about shopping and getting ready for the holidays. Officers will be out doing foot patrols and checking vehicles to ensure you keep your car locked and items out of sight. It is very important to keep valuables out of plain view or better yet, do not store valuable items in your vehicle. If your vehicle has been checked while parked, you will find a card on your windshield indicating that police have checked your vehicle. We encourage everyone to take an extra care, ensuring that vehicles are locked.
