Thunder Bay – Sports – The Lakehead Thunderwolves will be in Southern Ontario for a three-game road trip against three different teams this weekend, beginning in Guelph on Friday night. The Wolves will then travel to York for a Saturday evening tilt before finishing up with a Sunday matinee at Ryerson.

The Thunderwolves are on a four-game winning streak, with the last two coming at the expense of the Brock Badgers in the friendly confines of the Fort William Gardens. The Wolves edged Brock 3-2 in overtime last Friday night and then blanked the Badgers 3-0 in the Saturday rematch.

Lakehead holds the edge in the all-time series over each of its opponents this weekend with a record of 33-11-2 vs. Guelph, 34-19-0 vs. York, and 13-5-0 vs. Ryerson.

Goaltending has been a strong point for the Wolves as both Nic Renyard and Devin Green have been stellar between the pipes with each having already recorded a shutout this season. Renyard has an impressive .927 save percentage and a 2.54 goals-against average, while Green has posted an amazing .951 SV% with a 1.43 GAA.

Senior forward Dylan Butler is off to a great start this year, leading the team in scoring with 3 goals and 10 assists, and was also named the Lakehead University Athlete of the Month for October.
