KENORA – NEWS – Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with Impaired Driving offences over the weekend. On Saturday, September 9, 2017 shortly after midnight, while on general patrol, police conducted a vehicle stop on River Drive in the City of Kenora. It was determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, seventy-one-year old William SOBISKI of Kenora has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in his Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Impaired Driving s. 253(1)(a) CC.
SOBISKI is to appear in Kenora court on October 12, 2017 to answer to the charges.
On September 9, 2017 at approximately 7:40 pm, police received a report of a possible impaired driver on Lakeview Drive in the City of Kenora. Police located the vehicle and stopped it shortly after. Police determined the driver had been drinking and he was arrested at the scene and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, 33 year old Jordan NASH of Northwest Angle, ON has been charged with;
- Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood s. 253(1)(b) CC
- Driving While Under Suspension s.53(1) Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
- Drive While Passenger Under 16 Fails to Occupy Position with a Seat Belt s.106(4)(a i) HTA
NASH is to appear in Kenora court on October 12, 2017 to answer to the charges.
