Sudden Death in Kenora

KENORA – NEWS – On Wednesday, August 31, 2017, at 3:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call of a possible drowning at Bruin Lake, MacNicol Township.

Members of the Marine and Trails Unit (MTU) attended the scene and learned that a male and female’s kayak had capsized. The male survived, but the female had passed away at the scene.

The female has been identified as Johnna BERTRAM, age 57 from Kenora. A post mortem will be conducted on September 1, 2017.
