Update on the Bay Street Film Festival

THUNDER BAY – As you know we are still working towards getting several first year film students to the Monterrey International Film Festival in August.  Thank you for your support by attending our film night back in April, and also for your interest.

Today we held a yard sale to raise funds with great success. Tomorrow we will be again at it, selling goods at the huge yard sale, so if you are around Moodie Street and Kingsway, come drop by and show your support.

There are several upcoming fundraising events we wanted to take a moment to tell you about.

The Brick BBQ Next Saturday (May 22)
Brick’s Tent Sale BBQ will be underway next week and everyone is invited for to support the cause.

Sex and The City (May 29)
The night will include SATC2 Show Tickets at SilverCity, awesome goody bags, buff male wait staff, appetizers, silent auctions, refreshments, prizes and much more, grab bag production is currently underway. Fun Sexy Night will be had by all, a win win event! Tickets available from Myra Beck <myrabeck@hotmail.com> Tickets 30 dollars, event taking place in Thunder Bay North on May 29 630-11:00.

Mexican Dinner and Backyard Party (June 12 or 19)
June 12 or 19, Location North Thunder Bay
Date to soon be announced.
Dinner in very funky backyard setting, food, fun, and music.

ROYALTON Film Social Night (July 10)
July 10, 8pm- 2am
Tickets 3$ door prize, silent auction

CANADIAN TIRE (July 3)
July 3 – All Day
Students will be stationed outside of the Intercity store collect your pledges for their trip to Monterrey. Canadian Tire money is accepted!

We are looking for corporate sponsor for the activity and so if you know a company that might be interested please let us know. Currently we have received two confirmations. We are asking that a company pledge 500 dollars and have a letter ready to go to forward to you if you have someone in mind.
