THUNDER BAY  – YOUTH – On July 17th, the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) will be hosting a Design Lab in Thunder Bay in support of the upcoming registration deadline of July 19th for the Youth Opportunities Fund. Building on the OTF’s Design Lab, other funders (e.g. LaidlawYouthCICanadian Roots Exchange, Thunder Bay Community Foundation) have decided to make their granting streams as accessible as possible to young people in the Thunder Bay community.

Similarly, other service providers and partners are making a range of offerings available, including arts-based youth engagement led by local youth artists and a YouthHack facilitated by the Youth Research and Evaluation Exchange (YouthREX) in collaboration with Lakehead University.

With a number of service providers and funders coming together, the emphasis is on empowering young people with resources to support their ideas and community projects. We are looking to spread the word about these offerings in order to maximize uptake. All youth are welcome, and lunch and bus tokens will be made available.

All activities will be hosted at the Definitely Superior Art Gallery from 12:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday July 15th through Tuesday July 18th. The gallery is located at 250 Park Avenue in Thunder Bay.
