Former Teacher and Principal Faces Charges

THUNDER BAY – A former teacher and principal who was employed at a number of schools across Northwestern Ontario now faces charges of indecent assault and assault.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Thunder Bay Crime Unit have laid the charges against Lothan Endler, a sixty-eight-year old male. The charges date back to incidents that police say their investigation uncovered to have happened between 1981 and 1982.

As a result of this investigation, Lothan ENDLER, 68 years of age, from Thunder Bay has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code:

  1. Indecent Assault on a Male contrary to section 156
  2. Indecent Assault on a Female contrary to section 149 x 2
  3. Assault contrary to section 244(a)

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on August 1, 2017 to answer to the charges.
