THUNDER BAY – Sandy Lychowyd, the Fundraising Coordinator and Stephanie Reid, Fundraising/Marketing Intern for the MS Society in Thunder Bay are reporting that “In our continued efforts to provide valuable services to those affected by MS, the Thunder Bay Chapter of the MS Society of Canada is holding a 50/50 draw with a possible grand prize of $10,000. To date only 2500 of the 10000 tickets printed have been sold and the June 30th draw date is quickly approaching. In our efforts to provide support to the people of Thunder Bay who are affected by MS, we need to sell more tickets!”

Tickets are only $2 each and are available Monday to Friday at the MS Office in the Chapples Building at Victoriaville, Shopper’s HomeHealthCare, and at Grower’s Direct. Volunteers will also be selling tickets in other locations around the city.

  • Victoriaville – June 10th
  • Intercity Mall – June 10, 11 & 12
  • Superstore – June 17, 18 & 19
  • Arthur St. Marketplace Zellers – June 17, 18 & 19

“We are seeking the support of the public in both buying and selling these tickets. If you have a business or workplace with a secure, high-traffic area and would be interested in selling tickets there or on your own please contact the MS Office by phone at 344-2944 or email mssoctb@tbaytel.net.”

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system that affects 75,000 Canadians today. At the MS Society our mission is to be a leader in finding a cure for MS and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life. Mobility issues require equipment and services in the form of wheelchairs, lifts, power beds, household maintenance, and transportation. Because the economic burden of this disease is immense and can come when a person is building both career and family, the MS Society provides financial support as well as support programs, education seminars, and information to our clients.
