THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police Service are currently investigating a second report of an attempted abduction female.
The intended victim, a twenty-six-year-old female reported to TBPS officers that she was walking with her infant in a stroller on Beverly Street by Nobel Road in Academy at approximately 10:00PM EDT on May 22, 2017 when she was approached by a vehicle with two black male occupants.
One male got out of the vehicle and attempted to drag her into the SUV. She called for help and two male citizens came to her aid and the suspects left driving west on Beverley Street.
The victim and her child were not injured in this incident.
The suspects are described both being black males in their early 30’s. The driver had a thick accent and the passenger was wearing studded earrings. The vehicle is described as a greenish blue colored SUV style vehicle. These suspect and vehicle descriptors are similar to the ones reported in a similar type incident that occurred on May 24, 2017 on Syndicate Ave.
The TBPS are asking for any witnesses or anyone who recognizes the individuals or vehicle described to come forward to police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.tipsubmit.com . Any information could help investigators with identifying these suspects.
The police are urging citizens to be vigilant when out walking alone. Being aware of your surroundings is critical to being able to react to any situation as it arises. Reporting any suspicious activity is encouraged.
