THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Chief Robert Herman will start his retirement on July 7th. Thunder Bay is looking for a new Chief of Police.

Working effectively with the Police Services Board, staff, the Association and the community, you will continue to enhance the credibility and image of the Service and build partnerships to provide effective, coordinated solutions to issues of concern. You will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism within the Service through ongoing training and development at all levels of the organization. As the successful candidate you will bring to the position a respected record of hands-on police service at the senior level combined with an understanding of modern management techniques and a commitment to community policing.
