THUNDER BAY – ENTERTAINMENT – There is a new feeling of vibrance and excitement in downtown Fort William. A number of new businesses have opened their doors. The Hub Bazaar on 507 Victoria Avenue East is getting rolling on November 4th. Rebecca shares a little of the energy and vibrance of the new downtown “Hub” of excitement.
Bringing the downtown Fort William neighbourhood back to life is a key component of revitalizing the downtown core.
The bulk of the effort has come with small businesses opening. The Red Bicycle / The Hub has moved into a new location on Victoria Avenue East. The new larger venue brings a number of vendors under the roof at 507 Victoria Avenue East.
The Hub offers vendors the opportunity to have their business inside the venue, allowing networking, the opportunity to share marketing opportunities, and to build on their own businesses.
As reported earlier this summer, downtown Fort William is witnessing change as small businesses come into the district.
City Council is continuing to explore options with Victoriaville. Increasingly, there are a growing number of business owners who are seeking action on making a decision on the future of this very expensive facility. Repairs to the roof to halt the leaks will cost the City of Thunder Bay millions of dollars.
The opportunities for growth in the downtown Fort William are plenty. Increasingly it appears that business owners are seeing the opportunities and advantages that the business area can offer their dreams.
The City of Thunder Bay states that they are stepping up too. Improved lighting downtown is in the works.
All of the positive changes coming in the business district will fuel future success. There is a lot of work needed but with the hardcore energy of inspired entrepreneurs, almost anything is possible.
