THUNDER BAY – Northern Ontario’s independent, evidenced-based think tank is pleased to announce it is registered as a charity for educational purposes, and open for donations and sponsorship.
Anyone living in Northern Ontario knows the unique challenges our communities face. Knows our realities and experiences are far different than the realities of the rest of the province.
By supporting Northern Policy Institute, you are a leader in helping to identify opportunities, inspire fresh ideas and develop evidenced-based solutions for and from Northern Ontario.
What makes Northern Policy Institute unique is its independent and non-partisan approach to policy research and analysis. NPI is not an advocacy agency, nor a consultant. This means that their assessments of the current and emerging issues facing Northern Ontario are always objective and provide balanced perspective to public and private sector decision-makers.
As an organization seeking to be exclusively evidence driven, self-sufficiency is the single most important fiscal priority of NPI.
“How an institute finances its work has a profound impact on all aspects of its operations. Your support allows us to continue to provide non-partisan, independent research for the people of Northern Ontario,” said Northern Policy President & CEO Charles Cirtwill, “As a non-profit organization, we are extremely grateful for the support we receive. The work we do would not be possible without it.”
Since NPI began its journey in 2013, it has been driven by the input of everyday Northerners. NPI’s focus has been on policies relevant to Northern Ontario, and economic, technological and social trends affecting us, including shifting demographics, health care, food security, governance models, transportation and much more.
Every donation, whether $50 or $50,000 is tremendously important. All donors will receive a tax receipt and be recognized by name on northernpolicy.ca and in Northern Policy Institute annual reports. Additionally, donors will receive an e-copy of all NPI publications and a subscription to our monthly e-newsletter ‘Due North’.
