THUNDER BAY – A former family counsellor who faced sexual assault charges in connection with abuse alleged to have taken place more than two decades ago has been found guilty in court of the charges.

Tarja Trochimchuk plead guilty in court today and received two years jail time to be served at home; during that time she can not be in possession or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She also can not be in the presence of anyone under the age of sixteen years of age unless under supervision.

There is a court ordered ban on publication of many of the details of this trial. That ban is to protect the identities of those who were impacted.
