Step into Action Demands Angus

THUNDER BAY – Charlie Angus says the time to move to action is here. The Timmins James Bay Member of Parliament and New Democratic Party critic for Indigenous and Northern Affairs says that in far too many cases, all the people of the north have seen from the new Liberal Government have been words.

Angus in this in-depth interview with NetNewsLedger says that problems in the north need serious attention, and the new Northern MPs all need to step up and realize their main job is representing their constituents.

One of the key areas where Charlie Angus says there has been little change from the Conservatives is in the issue of Child Welfare, after a year of the Liberals being in power, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has deemed that Canada is in violation of tribunal orders.

The Liberals have, according to Angus simply kept up the legal fight started by the Conservatives.

Angus states that the issues in Northeastern Ontario and Northwestern Ontario are very similar.

An interview well worth the time to listen.
