Police Officers Walking the Beat Make Drug Bust

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police officers walking the streets in downtown Fort William Business District were able to make a drug bust. TBPS report, “Beat Officers were walking in the south core when they noticed three males outside of a South Brodie Street building by Donald Street. Officers approached the males without beign seen as these individuals were very engrossed in the selling of pills. A large Ziploc baggie of pills and a wallet containing a large amount of money was observed in plain view by officers”.

In the downtown FW core, it is sadly very common to see drug dealing, and other symptoms of the growing issues with addiction in our city.

Police report, that the accused male selling the pills was arrested and escorted to the Balmoral Police Station. A quantity of drugs with a street value of $1500.00 including Ritalin, Percocets and Cocaine were seized along with over $600.00 in cash. The two other males were released unconditionally.

Matthew LOUSIER twenty-four-year-old man from Thunder Bay, has been charged with five drug related charges, as well as Proceeds of Crime, and Breach of Probation.

Lousier appeared in court this morning and has been remanded into custody.
