Minnesota Community Re-Elects Dog as Mayor
Cormorant, Minnesota – POLITICS – Duke the Dog has been re-elected for a third term as Mayor of Cormorant Minnesota.
His Worship, Mayor Duke the Dogin won another landslide election over the weekend to maintain his office. The nine-year-old Great Pyrenees won his third term as Mayor.
Mayor Duke the Dog’s political career took off three years ago when he won the honorary post as a write-in candidate by a dozen votes.
Voters pay $1 to vote in the fund-raising event for the annual Cormorant Daze event.
For those in Thunder Bay who sometimes say they feel that politicians don’t hear them or won’t listen, Mayor Duke the Dog might be a solution for them. At least the friendly Great Pyrenees will accept a friendly rub behind the ears. It is not known if Mayor Duke will speed issues through Cormorant if he is offered Milkbones or Beggin Strips.
