THUNDER BAY – ROADS – The intersection at Balmoral Street and Sibley Drive will be closed on Friday, Aug. 12, for the construction of a new storm sewer.

Construction Update

Originally scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11, the closure affects the west side of Balmoral Street (side on which the Thunder Bay District Health Unit is located). The east side of the intersection remains open to traffic. The intersection at William Street and Balmoral Street has also reopened.

Businesses located along Sibley Drive will remain open and can be accessed via the William Street intersection and Barton Street.
The closure is expected to last until Wednesday, Aug. 17.

The construction schedule is subject to change, as various factors – such as weather – can have an impact on project timelines.
