THUNDER BAY – LIVING – Driverseat Thunder Bay announces that their newest mobile app, the second generation of their designated driving app, has just been released. The new app contains dozens of new features and will make ordering a designated driver that much more convenient, accessible and affordable.

“We now have the ability to use technology to lower our prices and to reduce travel time and to improve pick up times.“ says Lawrence Deswiage, owner of Driverseat Thunder Bay. “Because of this our starting rate has now dropped to $15 from the $25 original rate. Our fares have always been very completive, or even cheaper than a taxi, but we have now improved the user experience”

Driverseat Coachmen (drivers) show up in teams of two to your restaurant, bar or house party. One Coachman drives you and your vehicle home while the second follows in a Chase vehicle. Coachmen are in uniform and their cars all have lit identifiers on them.

“We are very excited to be launching this new app.” adds Trisha Deswiage, co-owner of Driverseat Thunder Bay, “Anything that helps us reduce or eliminate impaired driving on the streets of Thunder Bay and surrounding area we welcome!  Giving customers a new and improved way of ordering their ride home will make their choice that much easier.  And on top of that you get home in the comfort of your own vehicle.

Customers can download the app using the following codes:

• Ability to rate your Coachman
• Review of past rides
• Ride estimate
• Ability to see where your closest Coachman is
• Estimated time to pick up
• See a photo, car type and name of your Coachman
• Auto email of receipts
• Ability for companies to provide corporate accounts for employees
• Watch your Coachman approach with an interactive map on your screen

“Customers have already said they love the look and ease of use of the new app.“ states Dennis Dekker, co-owner . “And our Coachmen have embraced the technology as has made their jobs more efficient, especially on the busy nights.”

Driverseat currently accepts phone requests for Designated Drivers but that will be transitioned out over the next few weeks as customers move to the new mobile app.

One of the key features to the new app is the Coachman mobile app, which is available now. Interested parties can apply to Driverseat to work as a Coachman. If the applicant has a clean driver’s abstract, a clean criminal reference check and is approved by the company, they will be provided with a link to download the Coachman app and can work flex hours.
