THUNDER BAY – Anishnawbe Mushkiki in conjunction with their move to the new location at 101 N Syndicate Avenue, Suite 510 in the Chapples Building this past April has developed a new logo, tagline and brand initiative. The transition  and  re-design  of  the  Anishnawbe  Mushkiki brand emphasizes the organization’s new vision and approach to community health and wellness.

The new logo incorporates the legendary turtle but with a bright, modern and northern crystalline look. The peaceful turtle plays a positive role in First Nations culture as a symbol of earth and association with long life and protection. “Transition means change. The former brand holds emotional importance and we acknowledge its legacy and what it helped build but while moving forward with this new initiative it reflects the exciting path that Anishnawbe Mushkiki is taking.” stated, Michael Hardy, Executive Director.

The tagline speaks of what overarching services Anishnawbe Mushkiki offers to its stakeholders: individuals, families and communities in the city of Thunder Bay and surrounding area. The tagline indicates culturally appropriate wholistic care throughout the four stages of life. “We are pleased with the result of this effort and the new appearance of the logo and tag line that represents the progression Anishnawbe Mushkiki is making relative to empowering people to live wholistic, healthy and harmonious lives.” says, Audrey Gilbeau, President of the Board of Directors.

Anishnawbe Mushkiki is welcoming new patients to participate in their wholistic health care model, including primary, traditional and alternative approaches. A new patient application, as well as a complete schedule and locations of community programming, is available on Facebook or at the clinic. Anishnawbe Mushkiki serves all people in the city of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario throughout their lifecycles. Their services include clinic care, culture, education, intervention and prevention. A formal grand opening of the new location will be announced shortly.
