Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Lady luck was riding with a teenager in Thunder Bay on Wednesday.

A collision involving a pedestrian and a sedan Wednesday, 23 March 2016, just before 3 p.m. sent a thirteen-year-old female pedestrian by ambulance to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Police Traffic Investigation revealed that the green Chrysler sedan was being driven northbound on Court St. near the intersection of Nelson St. The father of the girl was driving southbound on Court St and saw her walking on the opposite side of the street. He pulled over to stop in order to pick her up, and watched her run into the side of the passing Chrysler. He tried to shout out to her to have her stop, but it was too late.

No charges will be laid.
