THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Winter road conditions are impacting highway travel near Thunder Bay. Earlier on Sunday morning, at about 08:30AM EST a semi-truck has jackknifed about two kilometres east of Sistonen’s Corner. The accident had the highway closed to traffic as the truck was cleared from the road-way.

Traffic is now down to one lane, and should be open later this morning.

OPP Officers responded to the accident and a tow-truck has been dispatched to the scene.

Highways are open for travel, but perhaps unless your travel plans are absolutely vital it might be worth waiting out the weather.
