Weapons Charges Laid in Incident in Limbrick Neighbourhood

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police report that “Just before midnight on January 8, 2016, officers were dispatched to a Limbrick Street address on a report of a large party and fight occurring outside the residence. When officers arrived they did break up an altercation between two individuals and located a baton style taser.”

A nineteen-year-old male was arrested a short time later. A spring loaded knife was also found on him when he was searched subsequent to the arrest.

Dylan Dewar has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon X2, Possession of Weapons Dangerous and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He made a court appearance and has been remanded to the district jail.

Residents in the Limbrick Neighbourhood tell NetNewsLedger that the unit where the party was held has many people in the Thunder Bay Housing Complex concerned. They report the unit in question has a lot of parties. Other residents report that the three bedroom unit is being occupied by a single person without children.
