THUNDER BAY – It is an incident that could have been far more serious than it ended up being. Thunder Bay Police report, that the subsequent investigation into Saturday night’s stand off on South Court Street has resulted in a weapons charge against the owner of the residence. Officers had responded to a break and enter call in a home in the 100 block of South Court Street Saturday night. Once on scene officers arrested a male and female who had allegedly been in the residence. A second male remained in the residence and was eventually taken into custody in the early hours of Sunday morning following a stand off with police.
Break and Enter Leads to Charges
39 year old Frank Henry McaGuire of Gull Bay First Nation, 26 year old Bradford Lance Matthews of Thunder Bay, and 38 year old Sarah Tanya Pelletier of Thunder Bay have been charged with Break and Enter. All three are in custody and have a court appearance today.
The 62 year old male resident of the home has been charged with Careless Storage of a Firearm. The man is not in custody and has a court date in the near future.
Sources report to NNL that further arrests in this case are possible.
