BRAMPTON, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Sportop midget AA Queens dropped their final game at the 2 Nations Prep Series event in Brampton, Ont., falling 5-2 Sunday to a strong Little Caesars side from Michigan.
Sarah Dodic and Emilie Varrin scored for Thunder Bay in defeat with Avery Baker and Hannah Armstrong picking up assists.
Aden Johnson suffered the setback in goal.

Next up for the Sportop Queens will be the Futures Winter Classic in Winnipeg, Man., Jan. 15-17.
Meanwhile down in Minnesota, the RBC Dominion Securities bantam AA Queens wrapped up a four-game set in a big way as they bounced the Blaine Bengals 11-0 in their final contest there.
Brenna Nicol had an impressive game for Thunder Bay by scoring once and setting four others in a five-point day.
Victoria Darosa also chipped in with a hat trick while Molly Kunnas notched a pair and picked up an assist and Lucy Newman supplied a goal and two helpers.
Also scoring for Thunder Bay was Brynne Lambert, Kailey Swerhun, Cassandra Caringni and Carly Hennessey with Jocelyn Wojciewchowski dishing out a couple of assists.
Paige Wilson went relatively untested in posting the shutout.
The next out of town event for the RBC Dominion Securities Queens will be the Icebreaker tournament in Duluth, Minn., which goes Jan. 15-17 in the New Year.
