MARATHON – At approximately 1:45 p.m. on December 3, 2015 Anishanabek Police Service (APS) responded to a call of a suspicious person and vehicle at Pic River First Nation.
Officers located and observed the vehicle travelling south on Hwy 627 at a high rate of speed. Members of the Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended to assist. Investigation determined that the vehicle was stolen from York Region, Ontario.
The vehicle was located at Pukaskwa National Park. APS and Marathon OPP officers, with the assistance of the North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), continue to search for the male driver.
